Job Description
Please note: This part-time (roughly 20 hours per week preferred) spring semester internship pays $20/hour. All positions are currently remote.
New Blue Interactive has been delivering best-in-class digital programs to our clients for over a decade, working with Democratic candidates up and down the ballot in all 50 states, progressive organizations, PACs, and nonprofits to deliver results that help our clients make good happen.

As a paid intern at New Blue Interactive, you will play a pivotal role in our close-knit team of world-class digital strategists ahead of November’s critical midterm elections. You will get hands-on experience at every level of digital production and will have a hand in building and executing customized digital plans for our Democratic clients all around the country. Full-time and part-time (20 hours plus preferred) internships are available mid-March through mid-November.
Relevant Skills / Experience
- Must have a passion for progressive causes and Democratic candidates and want to be a part of an award-winning team.
- Eagerness to “always be learning” and able to learn quickly and on the fly.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, and deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to change direction if needed.
- Need to have a keen eye for detail and an excellent ability to proofread.
- Strong writing skills and ability to adapt to different styles and voices is helpful.
- Comfortable with basic data management using Excel, Google Sheets, databases, etc.
- Experience with Canva and/or Adobe design products is helpful, but not required.
- Experience or willingness to learn basic video editing.
- Experience managing a social media account (Facebook/Twitter) is helpful, but not required.
Day-to-day duties may include but are not limited to:
- Assist in writing copy for fundraising and persuasion campaigns.
- Assist with proofreading and other quality assurance checks to ensure copy is free of typos and other errors.
- Assist in creating weekly reports for clients that are accurate.
- Understand and utilize Google Team site for document sharing.
- Track breaking news and topical issues for use in client messaging.
- May assist with social networking platforms to deliver client messaging and for other purposes.
- Participate in training seminars and/or webinars as required.
- Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned by management.
