Remote within the US- Research and Analysis Intern

World Vision Internships provide a three-month opportunity for exceptional students and recent graduates ready to explore a career in the international relief and development sector. BEFORE APPLYING, make sure you meet the following requirements:

  • Able to commit to a minimum of 24 hours per week for the entire internship period: 20 May – 16 August. 
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have a valid US Social Security Number.
  • Be physically located in one of the following states where WVI is registered as an employer: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia (Washington D.C.), Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.
  • Current student or recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within 2 years).
  • Adhere to World Vision International’s Christian Statement of Faith.
  • Willingness to use own electronic devices for internship purposes, and disposition to let WVI install endpoint security software on those devices.

DETAILS

  • Stipend: All US-based interns are paid a monthly stipend of $800
  • Hours: Full-time and part-time opportunities are available (24-40 hours/week)
  • Internship Location: Remote within the US (see eligible states above).
  • Appropriate Fields of Study/Majors: Business Administration, Operations Management, Security and Risk Management, Communications, or related field.

INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION

World Vision Security, Safety & Resilience (SSR) Security team supports WV's 34,000 staff operating in nearly 100 countries to deliver its programs in a safe and secure environment. Our people work in some of the most challenging and complex environments and our team contributes to the well-being of children by helping the World Vision Partnership to manage its security well. We advise, train, and monitor standards to save lives and promote programme safety.

The Opportunity

As a Research and Analysis Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be part of a small flexible, highly motivated team that meets to collaborate, brainstorm, share ideas, and update on progress.
  • Support our goal to ensure staff is appropriately trained for their current roles as well as ensure that those who have the requisite skills and behaviours/mindsets to be considered for more senior roles are valued and retained.

The intern’s responsibilities will include:

  • Support the team to engage with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the development, delivery, and analysis of multiple research tools such as One-on-one interviews, questionnaires, and surveys, and prepare meaningful summaries and reports for further action.

Essential qualities for this role:

  • You are familiar with online survey (e.g. Survey Monkey) methodologies.
  • You have an intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • You have strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently to achieve the desired outcome.
  • You are responsible, responsive, and enthusiastic.
  • You are passionate about using your God-given talents to positively impact the world.
